Gretchen Wustrack is a San Francisco-based artist, designer, and futurist whose practice explores time, transition, and the human experience with technology. With a 25-year career in industrial and strategic design, she brings a keen eye for form, behavior, and culture to her sculptural work.
Gretchen is drawn to working with found objects and discarded consumer goods. The rich histories and associations embedded within these objects serve as the raw material for her work, allowing her to start a conversation about the changing value and meaning of the artifacts in our lives and society. Her work prompts reflection on our past and curiosity about the future.
When not in her studio, Gretchen works as a design strategist and futurist, focusing on keeping human flourishing and long-term thinking centered as society navigates the AI era.
